Jersey City Hires Multimedia Solutions for Website Design for New Healthier JC Initiative
(Edgewater, NJ| October 26, 2017): The Jersey City Department of Health and Human Services recently hired Multimedia Solutions to design and develop a new community-focused website aimed at building a greater culture of health for Jersey City residents. In order to accomplish this mission, the city formed The Partnership for a Healthier Jersey City, which includes the Jersey City Medical Center, New Jersey City University, the Jersey City Parks Coalition and The Jersey City Housing Authority.
Multimedia Solutions will work with The Partnership for a Healthier Jersey City to create a best-in-class website focused on centralizing healthcare resources and available services for residents, while also developing a comprehensive Community Health Calendar. The calendar will be open to all eligible community groups and organizations in order to help improve their outreach amongst residents and coordinate events and services across Jersey City. Whether residents are searching for a seminar on a diabetes daily regimen, where to immunize their child, how to find a nutritionist, hours of local farmers markets, transportation options to medical centers, or how to access senior housing, the Healthier JC website will connect those in need to the organizations that provide services.
Funding for the initiative is provided by a Culture of Health grant, awarded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The new Healthier JC website is expected to launch in early 2018.
